Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract. Must have own vehicle. Organized, efficient, and able to work unsupervised when needed.

Child & Youth Mental Health Counsellor

North Island Community Services Society is accepting applications for a permanent part-time Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Counsellor, located in Port McNeill. This position provides support services and counselling for youth and at-risk youth with specific life challenges. The duration and depth of service is case specified.

This rewarding position works closely with the individuals, families, schools, Mental Health, and the Ministry to provide support, intervention, education and other services to children and youth groups and individuals.

28 hours  a week,days and times can be flexible. Wage is $32.55- 34.55 depending on education and experience, plus a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.

 Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Counselling or applicable field. Must have own vehicle and clear driver’s abstract. Clear Ministry of Justice criminal records check and current Level One First Aid certificate.

North Island Community Services Society is looking for casual bus drivers to operate the Mount Waddington Transit in Port McNeill & Port Hardy.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Valid drivers’ licence, class 4 unrestricted
  • Clean “N” driver’s abstract
  • Must have excellent customer-relations skills
  • Must produce a criminal record check (Ministry of Justice)
  • Must have min. level 1 First Aid
  • All qualification must be in place to be short-listed
